Just when you thought our line up was crushing enough, we go and add the magnificent EAGLE TWIN to proceedings!

Describing themselves as “heavy music overflowing with animistic riffs and myths”, Eagle Twin’s creators Gentry Densley (guitars, throat, words) and Tyler Smith (drums, fists, fire) build epic compositions drawing on multiple levels of the collective unconscious, mixed with epic tales and dark poetical themes and who also revel in modifying their own gear to ensure these sounds are blasted through with a crushing precision. Their hard hitting drum and guitar soundscapes shall be gracing the evening hours of the Underworld’s stage and we hope to be treated to some of the band’s finest offerings including pieces from the debut LP, 2009′s ‘The Unkindness Of Crows’, as well as their most recent Southern Lord release ‘The Feather Tipped The Serpent’s Scale’ (2012).

Appearing on the same stage as fellow duo (and 2010 split release partners) Pombagira, Eagle Twin are set to bring a fitting gutter punch of devastation as the final addition to the already ludicrously low-end heavy HDP / WPC Stage for 2014.

WOW! TEEF certainly mean business! This 8 song demo from the Brighton Hardcore punk mob comes in at little over 7 minutes which i think will give you a very good idea at what to expect.

Short sharp, nasty, angry, vile little tunes with a proper British filthy feel. Ant Cole is and always will be one of my favorite drummers and with songs like ‘Anxiety’ and ‘Acid Spit’ you can tell that he was made for bands like this, He knocks seven shades of shit out of the kit and after a listen to this very brief offering I feel as though I have had my breath held for the entire duration!

DRIPBACK are a band that the instant I heard, I fell madly obsessed with. Their incredible blend of Grind, death and blackened sludge is a true breath of fresh air and a long long wait has been had for this, their debut full length.

I am incredibly happy to see that they have stuck to their guns and have made the choice to self release this album despite their contacts within the industry and countless positive reviews, and how they are releasing it is awesome too. A Vinyl and shirt deal is available for JUST £20!! Which also comes with a download of the album too so you would have to be pretty dumb not to take them up on this amazing offer!

As for the album itself, the usual sample ridden cockney swagger remains a driving force for this from the get go and Wez’s caustic vocal style is the real gem in this rager of a debut (if only they were turned up a little higher in the mix).

With song titles like ‘Cessation of Suffering’ and Embodying Emptiness’ you can see that its a pretty bleak themed album and one they pull off with absolute viciousness, its absolutely relentless BUT once finished the only thing that must be done is press that ‘play’ button once again.

The highlights for me come from epic instrumental piece ‘Failed Future’, The “Black Dahlia” style melodic ‘Victims’ and the crushing track ‘Forgotten Code’ as it has that belter of a chorus mixed in with the trademark gang vocals that give Dripback that Hardcore flavour.

So take the advice of the opening line “Ooooh are you Fucking listening to me! I said COME ON YOU CUNT!” and get this on the go, you will not be disappointed!
