…So we have have a couple of bits of news, one great and one not so great!

As always we shall start with the good:

The entire Mother corona Album ‘Reburn’ is up for streaming RIGHT NOW FROM OUR BANDCAMP so all you guys can get a taste of how truly awesome this collection of songs is ahead of its release.

And for the Bad news:

There has been a slight error with the printing of the CDs and the pressing plant seems to have printed them all with a slight scratching noise on the last 3 tracks, it does not skip completely but obviously is not how the songs are supposed to sound, SO there are new copies of the CD being pressed as we speak so all people who have ordered will be sent a replacement as soon as we can. Also, you will be pleased to know that i will send out a download code to all people who have ordered the CD immediately so you can have the correct version of the tracks.

Apologies for this mistake but it is something that just cannot be helped and I hope you can forgive the error, it was something that should have been noticed by the plant as the master disc was fine but it is just one of those things, needless to say I am very disappointed with this mistake!

Anyway, its a killer album and keep an eye out early next week for some Main Support announcements for the WINTER WARMER WEEKENDER.

So this summer, my band were lucky enough to go around Europe with the awesome DOPETHRONE and the whole thing was designed and directed by our good friends at STONED GATHERINGS, Nico our tour manager along with wonderful sound tech Angie have but all of the shenanigans up on a very thorough tour Diary. After jumping at the chance to chuck a few quid in towards their Kickstarter campaign, I have been eagerly awaiting this lovely collection of tunes as this new London mob (who features Trippy Wicked/Stubb man Peter Holland on Bass) have a hell of a lot going for them. Incorporating the use of a Sitar in their sound the band are a real breath of fresh air, using really heavy yet melodic structure to their songs and offering something slightly new at the same time.

The EP consists of lots of lovely sitar interludes throughout the record but its the triple threat vocal harmonies of song ‘Attack of the Altaica’ that really shows the band at their best. Having seem them live a few times now (including the just past SUMMER SIZZLER) this has always been the song I pick out of their set as being leaps and bounds above the rest and recorded they have done it an absolute justice.

‘Vlaakith’ and ‘the Sead’ also have some killer stomp to them and it is easy to tell that Pete has had some influence in the writing as the feel of some of these songs would definitely impress any TRIPPY WICKED fan. This is a triumphant start for this fledgling band and with the songwriting being of this quality on their very first EP, its an exciting thought to see where these guys could end up…

So after this mornings announcement I can think of no better time to give a rave review of the debut full length from our lovely lads form laaandan Taan STEAK.

After 2 amazing EPS which got them signed to the awesome NAPALM RECORDS these boys have been massively on the up in the past year. European support slots for MONSTER MAGNET and now following their idol JOHN GARCIA around Europe too, they really are one of the shining lights in the stoner world right now. So with an album like this behind them its exciting to think where they may be by this time next year!

Starting with 6 minute opener ‘Coma’ the really sets the tone with layer upon layer of fuzzy guitar which creates a fantastically trippy start to the record, in fact the whole psychedelic feel is a lot more apparent on this and at times they sound like MONSTER MAGNET and TOOL all rolled in to one.

Its good to see tracks ‘Liquid Gold’ and ‘The Machine’ make a reappearance on this too, but again they have been added to, reworked and sound so much better for it. But its got to be the track ‘Pisser’ that stands out most for me. Featuring guest vocals from John Garcia himself this song is an absolute rager and I really can’t wait to hear this in their set!

I FOR ONE, CANNOT WAIT!!

After a cracking SUMMER SIZZLER SESSION just a couple of weeks ago I have decided to put all my efforts into making the WINTER WARMER WEEKENDER 2015 the best show yet so we shall all be convening on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th January 2015.

This means that once again you have the whole Sunday to recover and it also means that you can beat those winter blues by coming and seeing 12 of the greatest new offerings in our scene today!

To start things off we are blown away to announce 2 previous good friends of WPC who really have shot to stardom since last appearing at an event of ours so we are truly chuffed to have them return again to headline.

On Friday we have the stoner Groovers DESERT STORM who have only played with us once back 2 years ago but we have brought them back and placed them where they belong in headlining position!

On Saturday we have the desert rock Titans STEAK who have played a lot of shows with us over the years but since performing last have not only Signed to Napalm Records but recorded one of the best albums of 2015 which even includes guest vocals from Lord John Garcia himself!

ONCE AGAIN WE SHALL BE OFFERING £10 FULL WEEKEND TICKETS AND THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON, There will be only 50 once again and after that its £7 on the door per individual day.

So after nearly 4 years of running shows and nearly a full year of the ‘WPC:Presents’ label it is time for a fresh new look and what better choice for the design work than the hardest working man in the art world right now Mr Dominic Sohor of DOMINIC SOHOR DESIGN.

BLACK MOTH seem to have gone quiet for quite some time only popping their heads up for a few shows of late but luckily that is soon to end as this new album is prepped and ready to drop alongside an awesome full UK tour with our damn good buddies in LIMB as main support.

This album was along time coming and is a great follow up to their first offering, a lot has changed in the scene since the first album came with bands getting a lot more coverage than a year ago so the timing for this album is perfect. My main concern was that with coverage from alot of more “hip” press areas like NME and the like, it could have watered down the music of Black Moth but I am happy to report that things are heavy as hell, which I for one are very thankful for!

The riffs are immense and there are a hell of a lot of them, with songs like ‘Set yourself alight’ and the ‘Undead King of Rock and Roll’ proving to be highlights very early on in the album. Harriet’s lyrics show a continuation of damn good storytelling and album highlight ‘White Lies’ is a damn belter and sure to be a pit favourite! We even have monstrous Hammond organs on ‘Stinkhorn’ and brooding rockabilly feel to another of my favourites ‘Slumber with the Worm’ there is just so much on this to keep people like myself happy, its damn refreshing!

All in all a damn fine effort from the Moths and can’t wait to catch these guys on October 1st when they hit the best damn venue in London, the Camden Underworld…
