This is very much in the same area as yesterdays review, its so good to see a new generation of Doom bands that are grabbing influences from other genres and getting the best out of their music. ATRAGON have a real old NWOBHM feel about them with some of these riffs, The song ‘Jesus Wept’ in particular is just as much influenced by Pentagram as it is early Maiden!

And again, at a very similar length to yesterdays offering these songs do not drag at all. The riffs are ever changing and cascading and the production makes it sound as if it could have been created at any point in the last 30 years which i think does it great justice.

Although this was released last year its new bands like these that make this year so exciting and i hope to see these fellas on the live circuit sometime soon. If you want to give it a listen you can go over to the magnificent WITCH HUNTER RECORDS and give it a spin HERE.
